Storyline:
Whenever a shapeshifting evil spirit with a hunger for human tissue, known as “youma,” shows up in Raki’s town, a solitary lady with silver eyes strolls into town with just a blade upon her back. She is a “Claymore,” a being made as half-human and half-youma, for the express motivation behind eliminating these beasts. After Raki’s family is killed, Claymore saves his life, yet he is consequently ousted from his home. With no place else to go, Raki tracks down the Claymore, known as Clare, and chooses to follow her on her excursions.
As the pair make a trip from one town to another, overcoming youma en route, more about Clare’s association and her kindred champions becomes known. With each town purged and each devil annihilated, they draw nearer to the youma on which Clare has looked for retaliation since the time she decided to turn into a Claymore.
