Storyline:
A detective’s younger brother dies from a crime. To figure out what happened to him, the detective goes to prison as an inmate. In the prison, he approaches an inmate who acts like the king of the prison.
REVIEW: In all eventuality, you’ve seen this movie before, whether it’s Brubaker or the 100’s of prison films where the inmates actually run the roost. This one is no different, sort of like a “me, too” offering. That said, it is notable for the cinematography and acting. The music is tad too much on the stringy melodramatic side, but then again, I suppose this is what’s expected of Korean films. It’s interesting that the lead actor in the film resembles Jet Li a bit. Too bad he wasn’t capable of those gravity-defying leaps Jet is known for.
